One Customer Operations System. Every business stays separate.
A group does not want one merged customer base. It wants each business to answer its own customers properly, and it wants to see across all of them without touching any of them. Connect runs the same customer operations in every business you own, with the businesses isolated from each other by default and central visibility granted deliberately.
Each business isolated: customers, channels, pricing, knowledge, policies, memory, rules
One workflow standard across every business in the group
Central access is granted per business, never assumed
One enquiry, inside one business of the group
Enquiry arrivesAt that business's own address, number or WhatsApp
Business identifiedThe workspace that owns it — and only that one
Its own history loadedThis business's customer, terms and past work
Answered in its voiceFrom the knowledge that business approved
Qualified onto its recordStructured fields, not a buried thread
Commitments gatedUnder that business's own approval rules
Follow-up scheduledOwned by that business, with a date
Visible to the groupWhere access was granted, as a fact not a copy
Every step above happens inside a single business's workspace. Nothing in this chain reads or writes another business's records. The documentation names the screen each step lands on.
THE BUSINESS PROBLEM
Every business in the group is doing its job. The group cannot see any of it.
Groups, holdings and roll-ups inherit customer operations rather than design them — and then find there is no way to raise the standard without merging what must stay separate.
Seven businesses, seven standards
One acquired business answers in an hour, another in three days. The difference is staffing and habit, not intent, and it survives every attempt to fix it with a policy document.
A group whose service level is set by its worst acquisition.
The reporting nobody trusts
Each business counts enquiries, quotes and follow-ups its own way, in its own tools. The board pack is a reconciliation exercise, and by the time it is right it is old.
Decisions made on numbers that were assembled, not observed.
Integration that would break the thing you bought
Merging customer data, pricing and channels into one system is the fastest way to lose the local relationships that made the business worth buying — and in some groups it is not even lawful.
A choice between visibility and separation, when you need both.
Key-person risk, multiplied
In each business, the customer relationships live in one or two inboxes. A departure in a business you acquired last year is a hole in an asset you paid for.
Goodwill that walks out through a mailbox.
The constraint is structural, not managerial: the businesses must stay separate for commercial, contractual and often legal reasons, while the group still has to be able to see and raise the standard across all of them.
THE CONNECT WORKFLOW
One loop, executed separately inside every business.
The group standardises the chain. Each business runs it on its own customers, with its own facts and its own limits.
01
Enquiry
Hover, tap or tab any part.
A customer contacts one of your businesses on the address, number or WhatsApp that business publishes. It lands in that business's workspace, not in a group queue.
emailphonewhatsapp
02
Business identified
Hover, tap or tab any part.
The enquiry is matched to the business that owns it and to that business's customer record. A contact who also deals with a sister company is a separate customer of a separate business, unless you deliberately decide otherwise.
emailphonewhatsapp
03
Local answer
Hover, tap or tab any part.
Answered from the knowledge that business approved — its services, its terms, its lead times. The knowledge of a sister business is not available to it, so it cannot answer with the wrong company's facts.
emailphonewhatsapp
04
Qualification
Hover, tap or tab any part.
Requirement, volume, timing and decision maker captured as structured fields on that business's record, in the shape the group agreed — so that the same question means the same thing in every business.
emailphonewhatsapp
05
Commitment
Hover, tap or tab any part.
A quote, price, date or obligation is checked against the rules that business set. Inside them it goes out; outside them it waits in Needs You for the person who runs that business — not for the group.
emailphone
06
Follow-up
Hover, tap or tab any part.
Every open quote and unanswered thread carries a scheduled next action inside its own business. The chase is a queue that business drains, and the group can see whether it is being drained.
emailphonewhatsapp
07
Support
Hover, tap or tab any part.
Complaints, changes and questions after the sale are cases against that business's customer, with the whole conversation already attached.

Because every business runs the same chain and writes the same record, management with access can compare like with like — response times, follow-up coverage, customers touched — without reading into another business's customer data than the access they were granted allows.
reporting
The loop is identical in every business and the data is not. That is the whole design: standardise the operation, isolate the operation's data.
THE GROUP STRUCTURE
The group above. Separate businesses below.
Whether it is a holding company, a roll-up or a multi-brand operator, the shape is the same: one operating standard, and businesses that never see each other's customers.
Group
One customer operations system, one workflow standard, and the access management was deliberately granted — nothing more.

Isolation is the default. A business's customers, conversations, knowledge and rules are not reachable from another business's workspace.
Pricing and policy are per business: nothing is inherited from the group unless you load it into that business deliberately.
Customer memory does not pool. The same person dealing with two of your businesses is two relationships, held separately, unless you decide to merge them.
Authorised management keeps central control through access granted per business — and every grant is a recorded decision that can be withdrawn.
Cross-business visibility is configured with you in setup and reviewed in the Trust Centre. It is an access decision with a name on it, not a group-wide view that exists because the businesses share a supplier.
EMAIL · PHONE · WHATSAPP
Each business keeps the channels its customers already use.
Nothing is consolidated into a group mailbox or a group number. Connect joins what each business already publishes.
Email
Each business connects its own mailboxes under its own domain and identity, with the provider's own authorisation. Replies leave from that business, and the thread lands on that business's customer record.
Separate mailboxes and identities per business, never a shared group inbox
Replies grounded in the knowledge that business approved
Drafts held for approval when that business's rules say so
Send evidence kept for every message that leaves
Phone
Each business's own line, answered in its own name, with transcript and summary written back to the same customer record the emails belong to.
Answers inbound calls and places outbound follow-up calls per business
Interruptible conversation, not a menu tree
Transcript and summary attached to that business's relationship
A person can listen in and take over a live call
WhatsApp
A business's own WhatsApp number, running through the same isolation, rules and approval gate as its email.
Inbound messages land on that business's customer record
Replies obey the autonomy policy that business set
STOP and START are honoured as consent on that route
No scraped WhatsApp Web session anywhere in the product
Which channels are live for a given business depends on the accounts and provider numbers that business connects during setup. SMS sending and call recording are carrier-dependent and confirmed in your pilot.
RELATIONSHIP MEMORY
The relationship belongs to the business that earned it.
A group's real asset is the set of customer relationships inside each business. Those survive people leaving only if they are recorded somewhere other than a mailbox.
What a business's customer record holds
IdentityOne customer of this business, and every address, number and handle that reached it
CommercialsThis business's agreed terms, open quotes and opportunities
HistoryConversations, calls and work on one timeline, across every channel
FrictionComplaints and disputes with this business, and the resolution each got
StageWhere this relationship is, from first contact to long-term customer
Next actionThe scheduled obligation, with an owner and a date
A departure stops being a loss of knowledge: the relationship is on the business's record, not in a leaver's inbox.
An acquired business keeps its own history rather than being flattened into a group database.
Duplicate contacts created by three channels are merged inside that business — and never across two of them.
When management asks what is happening in a business, the answer is the record that business wrote as it worked.
RULES · PERMISSIONS · APPROVALS
Group standards, business-level judgement.
Autonomy is a setting per business. The group can require a floor; it does not have to impose a ceiling.
Draft only
Connect prepares everything and sends nothing. Where a newly acquired business starts, regardless of how the rest of the group runs.
Review and act
Routine replies go out; anything that commits the business stops in Needs You with the full context attached.
Autonomous within rules
It acts inside the boundary that business defined, and escalates the moment a request touches the edge of it.
What a group typically gates
Pricing and discounts beyond the business's own list
Credit terms and anything that changes the business's exposure
Commitments on dates or capacity the business has not confirmed
Any message that speaks for the group rather than for the business
Any access grant that lets one workspace see another's customers
Every action Connect takes is recorded — what it did, in which business, on whose authority, and the evidence it used. Access across businesses is itself an audited decision.
BEFORE VS WITH CONNECT
The same month, across four businesses.
Nothing here is a claim about results. It is a description of where the work moves.
Raising the service standard in an acquired business
Today
A policy, a training day, and a regression six weeks later.
With Connect
The same workflow the rest of the group runs, executed on that business's own customers and facts.
Comparing two businesses
Today
Two sets of numbers, counted differently, reconciled by hand.
With Connect
The same operational record written by both, so like is compared with like.
Keeping the businesses separate
Today
Separate because nothing was ever joined up — and invisible for the same reason.
With Connect
Separate by design, with visibility granted deliberately where management needs it.
An enquiry outside office hours
Today
Handled next working day by whichever business it reached.
With Connect
Answered from that business's approved knowledge, inside its own rules.
A manager resigns
Today
The customer relationships leave with the inbox.
With Connect
The relationships stay on the business's records, with history and open obligations intact.
Adding the next acquisition
Today
A migration project, or another system left to run on its own.
With Connect
A new workspace on the same standard, isolated from the others from the first day.
BUSINESS OUTCOMES
What changes, and how the group would prove it.
Connect does not come with a number attached. These are the effects to measure against each business's own baseline during a pilot.
A comparable operating record
Every business writes the same record as it works, so group comparison stops being a reconciliation exercise.
How you would measure it: Whether response time, follow-up coverage and customers touched can be read per business without anyone compiling them.
A floor under response time
Enquiries are answered when they arrive, in every business, including outside working hours.
How you would measure it: Median time from enquiry to first substantive reply, per business, before and during the pilot.
Less variation between businesses
The gap between the best and worst performing business narrows because the first answer no longer depends on local staffing.
How you would measure it: The spread of first-response times across the pilot businesses against the group's current spread.
Protected goodwill
Customer relationships in each business survive people leaving, which is the asset the group actually bought.
How you would measure it: Time to bring a new team member to full handling on existing customers.
Every one of these is measurable from the record Connect writes. If a pilot does not move them in your businesses, that is a finding, and we would rather you found it in four weeks than after a group-wide rollout.
DEPLOYMENT
Two businesses, not the whole group.
A group rollout that begins everywhere cannot be judged or reversed. This begins with two businesses that are not alike.
1Day 1
Pick two unlike businesses
Ideally one long-held and one recently acquired, so you learn what the standard does in both conditions.
2Day 1
Connect each business's channels
Each business's own mailbox and identity, and its phone or WhatsApp number if used. Nothing is scraped and no password is shared.
3Day 1–3
Load each business's own truth
Services, price structure, terms and the answers each business already sends every week — loaded per business, never shared between them.
4Day 3
Set the boundaries and the access
Autonomy mode and approval gates per business, and the explicit decision about what group management can see in each. Most businesses start in Draft only.
5Week 1
Run in draft
Connect prepares every reply and sends none. Each business reads them, corrects what is wrong, and sees how its week would have been handled.
6Week 2–4
Release and compare
Turn on sending where the drafts were already right, keeping pricing and commitments behind approval — then compare both businesses against the numbers they started with.
Existing email continues to work throughout. Connect joins each business's mailbox; it does not replace it, and a person can take over any conversation at any point.
TRUST & LIMITATIONS
What we will stand behind, and what we will not say.
For a group, the promise that matters is the one about separation. We would rather state its exact shape than let you assume a wider one.
What holds
Workspace data is isolated per business: customers, conversations, knowledge, policies and rules do not cross between them.
Cross-business access is granted deliberately, per business, and can be withdrawn; it is not a default of being in the same group.
Every outbound action leaves an audit record: what was sent, in which business, under which rule.
Each business's mailboxes stay that business's — connected with its consent through the provider's own authorisation.
The Trust Centre documents retention, data rights and security, and applies to every workspace in the group.
What we will not claim
No guaranteed revenue, synergy or cost figures for a group. We do not have a benchmark that would honestly apply.
No published customer names, logos or testimonials that we have not earned.
Connect is not a consolidated group reporting product, a BI warehouse or a finance system. It holds the customer operations record each business writes.
We do not integrate with your ERP, CRM or accounting systems unless that is agreed separately in scoping.
Merging one customer identity across two of your businesses is a deliberate decision with data-protection consequences, not something Connect does on its own.
Channel availability depends on the accounts and numbers each business connects. SMS sending and call recording are carrier-dependent and confirmed in setup.
QUESTIONS
What groups, holdings and roll-ups ask first.
Are the businesses really separate, or separate by convention?
Separate by design. Each business is its own workspace, and customers, conversations, knowledge, pricing, policies and rules are not reachable from another one. Access across workspaces exists only where it has been granted, and each grant is a recorded decision.
Can group management still see across all of them?
Yes, where that access is granted. Because every business runs the same workflow and writes the same operational record, what management sees is comparable across businesses rather than assembled from different tools. What it covers is agreed with you in setup rather than assumed here.
The same customer deals with two of our businesses. What happens?
By default they are two customers of two businesses, held separately, because that is what keeps the businesses genuinely separate. Merging them is a deliberate decision — and one with data-protection consequences we would rather you take knowingly than discover.
We are acquiring another business next quarter. How long to add it?
It is a new workspace on the same standard: connect its channels, load its own knowledge and terms, set its rules. It does not inherit a sibling's data and the siblings do not gain access to it. The realistic pace is the same as the pilot — draft-only first, sending after the drafts are right.
Do all our businesses have to run it the same way?
No. Autonomy level and approval gates are per business. A business with tight commercial exposure can stay in draft-only while another sends routine replies automatically, on the same shared chain.
Will this replace the systems each business already runs?
Not by itself. Connect joins the mailboxes, numbers and conversations those businesses already have. Integration with an ERP, CRM or booking system is a scoping question, agreed separately, and not an assumed feature.
What does it cost across a group?
There is no public price list. Commercial terms follow JBRH-approved commercial configurations based on the businesses, channels and volume actually in scope — the pricing page explains what drives the number and how in-policy pricing or owner review is produced.
START HERE
Two businesses, four weeks, nothing merged.
A pilot is two of your real businesses, their own mailboxes and their own approval boundaries — not a scripted demonstration. You will know inside a week whether the drafts are good enough to trust, and whether the separation is what you needed it to be.
